At our pound, we take pride in the fact that our approach to animal care is both comprehensive and compassionate. Unlike the traditional view of pounds as merely holding facilities, our center is a haven where each dog receives the attention, comfort, and care they deserve.

From the moment a dog arrives at our pound, they are treated with the utmost care. Each dog is assessed individually to determine any specific needs, including veterinary care. Our priority is to ensure that every dog is comfortable and receives any medical attention they might require.

🐾Comfort and Enrichment🐾

Our facility is designed to make our canine residents feel as at home as possible. We provide cozy blankets, soft beds, and dog coats to keep them warm and comfortable. Understanding that a sense of security is crucial, we strive to create an environment that feels less like a shelter and more like a temporary home.

🐾Exercise and Socialization🐾

To ensure that our dogs get the exercise and social interaction they need, we take them to the local dog park. These outings are more than just a chance for physical activity—they offer a welcome break from the confines of the pound, especially for those who have been with us for a while. Seeing the dogs run freely and enjoy themselves is a reward for all of us.

🐾Weekend Fostering🐾

We understand that the pound environment can be particularly tough for young puppies and senior dogs. These dogs tend to stay with an ACO staff member for a few day until their owner can be found or adopted. Our commitment is to ensure that every dog in our care is treated with the love and respect they deserve. By providing them with comfort, exercise, and a temporary home when needed, we strive to make their stay with us as pleasant as possible.
