Public Notice of Proposed Road Stopping - Town Hall St, Balclutha
The Clutha District Council gives notice that a Formed Legal Road (Town Hall Street, Balclutha) is proposed to be stopped. The purpose of the proposed road stopping is to allow for a more flexible and multi-purpose use of the road in conjunction with the Clutha Community Hub and carpark, while still providing the same access and acceptable safety to all operating in this area. It is proposed to stop a total of approximately 1,422m2 of Formed Legal Road comprised in Survey Office Plan 582788 as follows:

From Monday 31 October 2022, the plans of the proposed road stoppings may be inspected at the Clutha District Council Offices, 1 Rosebank Terrace, Balclutha; Clutha Information and Service Centre, 1 John Street, Balclutha; Lawrence Service Centre, 5 Peel Street, Lawrence; Milton Service Centre, 124-126 Union Street, Milton; Catlins Info Centre and Library, 10 Campbell Street, Owaka and Tapanui Service Centre, Suffolk Street, Tapanui, or on Council’s website www.cluthadc.govt.nz. Any person may object to the Council in writing to the proposed road stopping. Objections must be received by Council no later than Monday 12 December 2022.
