Revised schedule for Long Term Plan
Clutha District Council has revised its schedule for the Long-Term Plan, in order to allow sufficient time for audit to be completed and additional time for decision-making.
The original schedule for the LTP provided a very narrow window for Deloitte to complete its audit of the supporting documents prior to consultation opening.
In consultation with the auditors, Council staff have proposed more achievable schedule dates to Council, which was approved yesterday in the Corporate & Policy Committee meeting.
The LTP Consultation period will now open on 15 April 2024, two weeks later the original consultation date.
The new, approved schedule is as follows:
11 April – Council will meet to discuss and approve the consultation document.
15 April – 15 May: Formal consultation will take place, where people can provide submissions on the proposed Long-Term Plan for 2024-34.
23 – 24 May: LTP Hearings will take place, and people will have the opportunity to speak to their submissions on 23-24 May 2024.
12-13 June: Decisions meeting where Councillors will debate the final Long-Term Plan.
July: The final 2024-34 Long-Term Plan, based on all the engagement feedback and decisions made at Council deliberations, is expected to be adopted on 25 July 2024.
