Tuapeka West RWS - Boil Water Reminder
Consumers on the Tuapeka West water scheme are reminded to boil their water prior to consumption.
This reminder is being issued due to an E. coli positive test result of 1 cfu/100 mL from a sample taken at the water treatment plant, which was reported to Council this morning (Friday, 21 February 2025).
Anyone using water from their tap for consumption (including for brushing your teeth and food preparation) should boil it for 1 minute before it is used.
In Lawrence you can fill up your water bottles at the tap located at the back of Lawrence Community Library, next to the diesel storage tank. In Balclutha, you can fill up containers at the public tap next to the helipad. These taps are available 24/7 for the public.
