Tapanui – Aluminium information

There have been exceedances of the maximum acceptable value (MAV) for aluminium over the past weekend for the Tapanui drinking water supply. The treatment plant had exceedances of 1.6 mg/L on 1 February and 2.4 mg/L on 2 February against the MAV of 1 mg/L. The exceedance at Cemetery Road returned an aluminium level of 1.5 mg/L against the MAV of 1 mg/L.
Further sampling by Council’s water treatment staff will continue for at the rest of this week.
